Some Swedish Guys

Hi

Today I want to show you a band which is very special in my opinion. The band is called Sabaton and they are from Sweden. The band was formed in the year 1999 and they play power metal. The special thing is their lyrical themes. Theiy mostly write about military history including WW I and WW II but also other historical wars.

I really love these guys. The music is so powerful and you can party a lot.

Do you wanna humppa?

Hi.

Today another band. Their name is Finntroll and guess where they come from.
Right, Finland. They are playing "Humppa Folk Metal" but also Black/Death/Viking Metal. It is hard to discribe, but it makes party for sure. If seen them twice on the Wacken Open Air and both gigs were hilarious.

I have to confess these guys looks a bit "strange". But you have to listen to a few songs of them and you will may be in love even you don't understand a single word because they are actually sing in Swedish.

Another German Band

Hi.

This day is the day of "Rage". Rage is a german Heavy Speed and Power Metal band which was founded in 1984.

 Their songs are about Archaeology, Poetry and Politics. I have seen them a few times and they have made party every single time. One time they had a whole orchestra on the stage. Amazing. Here are two great songs of them.

This one was at the Wacken Open Air in 2007 and I was in the crowd too :)

A legend

Hi Folks.
Here is a second band but in this case it is more a single person. I want to present you today a legend in my opinion. Maybe you know him already.
I speak about Ronnie James Dio. He died in 2010 because of smoach cancer.

He was the greatest heavy metal vocalist and songwriter. He was a member of "Black Sabbath" but later he formed a own band with his lastname "Dio". They played classic hevy metal and theire lyricals were about heroic fantasy, metaphors, human issues.

These are two classic songs of him. The first one is from the first studio album of Dio "Holy Diver" from 1983 and the second from the album "The Last in Line" from 1984. I think in this time he made the best music. Old school heavy metal.


Unfortunately I have never seen him live. Did you by any chance?

Some music for you

In the next few days I will present to you some of my favorite bands and songs. I'm some kind of metal / rock / punk fan only that you know what you have to expect.

I want to start with my favorite band Blind Guardian. It is a german speed / power metal band. It was formed in 1986 and is still active. Theire lyrical themes are Lord of the Rings and the whole Tolkin world and other fantasy stuff.
I've seen them live two times and the last one was in october. It was really great.

They have 9 studio albums and so i could only present a very small part of them. But if you like these ones you could find a lot more on youtube.

A short personal review

Here I am. I had a bit of trouble yesterday. But I managed to watch "James Bond 007- Quantum of Solace" and here is my own short personal review about the film.


At first I have to say that I liked the first James Bond with Daniel Craig very much so that I had great expectations in this movie. In some points the movie fulfilled these but in some also not.


Here are the point i have to critizise:


The first point i have to critizise is the camera work. In the action scenes you couldn't keep track of the plot. For example directly in the beginning. You only see cars and shooting people but you couldn't assign the car to Bond or his chasers.


Bond didn't use any kind of gadget. I connect the name Bond at first to grils and than to gadgets. And in this movie I think Bond didn't use any kind of these. So Bond became a normal action guy and that's a shame in my point of view.


The Bond girl in this movie is Olga Kurylenko.

I must confess that I found her in the film not as beautiful as in the pictures you can find on the internet.

What do you think about her?

The plot isn't something "new". Some rogue has gained control about a power to kill/supress the world/a country and Bond stops him. At the end everythings blows up.

After reading this you could think that I didn't liked the film at all. But these are the bad points.




I would give "James Bond 007- Quantum of Solace" 7/10 point. I think it is a great action movie and it is worth to watch it at least one time.

A DVD to watch

Hi there.

I've borrowed a DVD from a friend of mine. It is the "James Bond" film "Quantum of Solace".

I haven't watched the film so far. Tomorrow I will give you a short review and my opinion about it.
