The meaning of life

Hey folks.

Today our teacher asked us what we think about the meaning of life. There was an discussion in class and I really don't know what I should think about it. In the most times I think there isn't any aim in our lifes or reason why we exists. But I know a lot of people have other opinions about it and I am not sure if I am right.

Here is a nice picture I've found.

I think everyone could be happy with it? Tell me in the comments what you think about it.

  1. 100% true, there's no meaning to life. The or a meaning is irrelevant for life to exist anyway.

  2. i struggle to believe that the whole of life, evolution and consciousness is due to random chemical reactions...and if there is no point to it all why does life fight so hard to exist?

  3. I think there's definitely a meaning to life. Ask 100 people and you might get 100 different answers. Part of the meaning of life is finding out its meaning in the first place.

  4. Growing up my mom always told me that Happiness was the key to living a good life. So when I was younger my teacher asked us what we wanted to be when we grew up, I said "happy". She said I didn't understand the question, I told her she didn't understand life.

  13. I agree with the G man.
If there is no point to life, why does all life strive so hard to exist? - if we can work this out, we may find the answer to 'the meaning of life' itself.
Maybe we all already know the answer, but it's just out of reach in our unconciousness and we cannot access it?
Imagine this: all lifeforms have been programmed since the dawn of time to 'know' of one huge prize at the end of it all, and by living and passing on cells, every organism gets a share of the prize, and by definition, every cell that is in every organism on that day also gets it's share.

Life strives to live for a reason, but life itself is only brief, so that cannot be the reason (IE, we all know we're gonna die) so the reason must be something bigger than life.
